Let’s talk about the Arcateenians!

This species did not originally look the way that they are portrayed now. They now have a more human like appearance in body types, although there is no mention of what they appeared to be physically prior to taking on human form. They have almost translucent, blue skin where you can faintly see inside of them and they glow from within. (Check out my meme here) However, I would say as a loc’d person myself, that their tendril hair would be my favorite physical feature. I imagine that if I were to want to be another species, I would want to look very similar to the Arcateenians. Some of their abilities are exceptional as well, like telepathy. Who here hasn’t wanted the ability to read someone else’s mind to know exactly what they were thinking without having to say a word?

Looking at the back history about Arcateenians, their species could appear to be almost parasitic to humans. Taking over a human’s body for hundreds of years and eating the hearts of humans just to be able to survive. When we think about past views of what an alien species might be like, as a culture we often view this type of parasitic species, however not always so pleasant looking.
